A band of bandits have entered town, and it's the player's job as sheriff of the town to take them down! To make things worse, those nasty bandits have placed a bomb in town that has to be stopped before it blows!
Rootin Tootin Cowboy Shootin is a lighthearted 2D shooter made for the arcade game experience, utilizing the unorthodox combination of a Wii-mote and a dance mat in the gameplay, forcing the player to be mindful of how they step, aim and shoot.
The game was made in the span of 8 weeks in a team of 6, consisting of project manager Nathalie Prinzell, programmers Emil Gårdh (Portfolio) and Felix Åberg, game designer Rasmus Westberg, and artists Hanna Isaksson (Linkedin) and myself. The game was showcased on Gotland Game Conference 2019, got nominated for the Jury's Choice award and is now used as an example of "good wacky design" in Uppsala University's game education on Campus Gotland.
